Save it for a rainy day

Yuck!!!! the weather is awful....so we had a bit of a lay in. When we surfaced we set about doing those jobs you just save for a rainy day.

Well you know we had a problem with the waste gauge on Derwent6, so while we were at Crick, we talked to the guy who did the gauges and he agreed to send us a new sender unit. We picked this up when we were in Kent last week, so now seemed a good time to change it.

After removing all the framework and the tumble drier we got to the sensor. After changing it we now have a reading on the waste gauge, but we don't know if it is the correct reading yet, time will tell.....

We then fitted a weather station which we have had for about two years as this was a Christmas present... This will give you the weather forecast for today and tomorrow, tell you the inside and outside temperatures and sunrise and sunset times, ideal when wanting to cruise. It also tells you what type of clothes to wear (coat or T shirt) and if you need to take a umbrella. Oh and it also tells the time and has a alarm......Lets hope it works...

We watched the Grand Prix qualifying and while we were just getting into it there was a loud bang from the bow...On looking out we saw a guy frantically trying to push their Napton hire boat away from us in the wind and the rain..."What are you playing at" we shouted and with not a care in the world they tried to get away....Luckily no damage, but a few words were exchanged.

We then lit the fire to calm down and had a early dinner, as the wind and rain just got stronger, before we snuggled up for the rest of the day.

As a matter of interest you look as though you have a slimline (by that I mean not very deep) washing machine and dryer. Are they any good and if so please could u tell me the brand name.

Hi Pat
Yes the washing machine and the tumble drier are great and could highly recommened them. The drier is a Indesit compact and the washer a Bosch slimline (the same features as a standard model but not as deep)

Thanks for that info
