Hiking, Gliding, Eating, and Setting

Del had always fancied flying his glider here at Day's Lock and the wind had never been right, but today it was. After charging batteries and having some breakfast, David and Del set off on the half mile trek to the top of Round Hill.
Del flew his glider for a couple of hours and David took a short walk around the hill.
Al meanwhile stayed on Derwent6, catching up on a few jobs and reading her book in the sunshine. Linda & Richard cruised by on Mary H, and stopped for a quick chat. n.b. Mary H was looking lovely in her new colours.  It was then a walk back and we watched the tennis and F1 qualifying and was buzzed by a Spitfire.

We all fancied a walk in the evening so thought we would hike to Long Wittenham as it was a lovely evening..

We set off at 5.30pm across some lovely paths into the village.
We reached the Plough pub and had a lovely meal in the garden.
The sun was setting as we walked back it just made things very pleasant.
As we got back to Derwent6 the sky turned red.
We sat out in the cratch with a few more beers till late playing music to fit the scene..
