A Walk and Service with a spot of Thai

After the late night last night, we got up at 9,30am and had a walk to the village of Barton under Needwood to get a paper. This village has six pubs in close location , so plenty to choose from.
It is a nice walk over the back of the marina round the lakes and you come out right in the high street. It claims to be the largest village in England.

We got back and met up with Alan & Carol on n.b Holly Hobble who supplied us with bacon sandwiches, yum! Del then helped Alan fully service their engine. Alan has now passed his City & Guilds on being a fully qualified boat technician and can now service his own boat!

We got back to Derwent6 at around 4.00pm and got ready for going out in the evening.

We met up with Alan & Carol again and went to the Thai restaurant in the marina where you have to take your shoes off to sit down and eat. The food was just the best and at not bad prices for a full evenings entertainment. But this is Del & Al, so we went into the Waterfront where another live band were playing and finished the night with a few more beers. We walked back to Derwent6 at 1.30am, Knackered......................
