Bloggers Reunion and Atherstone Locks open early

Bit of a contrast from yesterday with a frost last night and beautiful sunshine. We set off at 9.00am and went through the one lock and moved onto the water point at the top. We then carried on and soon got to Streethay marina where we managed to see Sue and Vic from n.b No Problem. having their Prop fitted by Alan of Axion Propellers We planned to moor up a little further on and we managed to find a spot where we could get a good TV signal for the evenings entertainment. We then walked back to see how they were getting on just as it was lowered back into the water, and everything seemed to be behaving itself.We walked back to Derwent6 and had some lunch and it wasn't long before Chas & Ann on n.b Moore2life pulled up behind us. Al quickly got the kettle on and Ann kindly brought round some cake and we all sat out in the cratch chatting. Sue and Vic then turned up on n.b No Problem so we had three bloggers in a row. They joined us on the bow of Derwent6 and we talked about everything and anything including the rumours about the locks at Atherstone being delayed. Al made a call to BW to hear the good news that the locks may be opening early. They might open either this Friday 18th or Monday the 21st, Fantastic!!! We also made a toast (all be it with a cup of tea) to our friend Les on n.b Valarie and his engagement to Jacqueline, we are so pleased for them both. It was lovely to get together with everyone. We then settled down for the big game, Arsenal v Barcelona and it finished the day off nicely to see Arsenal beat the best team in Europe 2 : 1. Who is the best team now then!!!!!
