Barf or Bath

We set off early from Dundas aqueduct as the sun was shining and rain was forecast for later in the day. We got on the water point with it's 150 year old crane and filled on a very slow tap, but we only needed a few litres. We then made our way past more rows of moored boats but the scenery was so good you weren't worried about not making 4mph. The engine was so quiet we even spotted a few of these fella's on the way. It was lovely looking over the Avon Valley with the odd swingbridge to keep us awake.Eventually we got to Bathampton and we found there were plenty of moorings, you could see Bath in the distance...Stunning!As we got towards the top of the locks we saw a nice spot with three day moorings with great views across the valley.We then went for a walk into town which cuts through Sydney Gardens and is about a 15 minute walk into the main shopping centre. Bath just blows you away with history when you walk through it.We walked back along the canal to suss out the locks, which are suppose to be tricky, well we'll see when we try them... It has got one of the deepest locks on the system.

We got back to Derwent6 and we did a few jobs. Del fitted a catch on one of the doors which keeps coming open. In the evening we got ready and hit the city lights...There was a band playing in one of the pubs and you know how much we like our music... We got back in the early hours...still we haven't got to get up early in the morning...............
