After last weekend it was a day of rest for us. We had a nice lay in and chilled. Del then cleaned off the dusty roof while Al sorted out the washing and went to the shops in Daventry. We have got the use of a car for a few days so we are making the most of it. While Al was away we were passed by Doug and James on n.b Chance who were winding to see us. They pulled up in front of us just as Al turned up with the weekly shopping. "Oh I wish we had known we need a few bits ourselves" Doug said. 
Al jumped back in the car with Doug and they got the shopping they needed. We all decided we would meet up in the pub in the evening for a bite to eat. We just relaxed in the afternoon catching up with all the canal news. At 7.00pm we all walked down to The New Inn pub. We had some pub grub and chatted about boats all night. 
We were the last to leave and got back to Derwent6 at 11.00pm after a lovely evening.
