Great start, if that's what to come

Another bright start to the day so had breakfast out in the cratch. Al walked down to the shops to get a paper while Del tugged at some strings. At lunchtime we walked down to the village where it is really starting to get busy now with boats from Varney's lock right down to Slate Mill lock and they have already started breasting up. (boats side by side) We then walked up and had lunch in The Brasenose Arms where we had Sunday Roast for £7.95. It was lovely for Al not to cook for a change and with no washing up. Afterwards we did the Cropredy circular walk to walk off that roast beef. It was a very easy walk with not many hills and lovely scenery in the sunshine. The corn was all ready to cut and Al even had a go at moving one of the straw bails. This brought us back to the pub at around 5.30pm where a guy was playing a guitar.....Well he made this thing talk and kicked off the week...It is one of the best guitar sessions we had ever seen, his name is Darrin Nauendorf, he is Australian and plays a blend of blues, rock, folk and country, you can catch him on itunes.......Del said one day he will play like him......it was a really good night. At 8.00pm we wandered back to Derwent6 and just chilled for the rest of the evening.
