No, we did get up, and looked out the window later and Wow we had had a good 6 -8 inches. So had to take a few pictures of Derwent6 covered in snow. We were shielded by the trees so we were protected a bit, but it still looked like Wonderland!!!!
The snow was fantastic and really crunched under foot, so while Derwent6 was warming up we just had to make a snowman. With twigs as a nose and mouth and two lumps of coal for his eyes, he looked great!
We then decided to have a look around so we walked back to the Co-Op in Crick for some more of Al's provisions (Wine & Chocolate) and to post a few letters. It's about a two mile walk, but it was beautiful. There were loads of people walking about today, as they couldn't get to work or school and we nearly got out the coal bags and headed for the slopes.
When we got back we were so exhausted. so just lit the fire and chilled out in the early evening.

Hi there you guys, I have been following you blog, you now have the weather we had at christmas, we still have some snow in the back garden. I do have a question, how do you get your electric, do you have to plug in when you tie up, like the motorhome, if that is so does that mean every where you stop there is power. Or do you run on batteries as well. Keep enjoying it though.

The answer to your question is that we have a 5kv generator bolted to the engine and a invertor which converts battery power (24volts) to shoreline power (240 volts). We only have to run the engine to charge the batteries and use large electrical items like the washing machine and tumble drier.
