Up in Arms

With snow showers outside the porthole we decided to move today. There were some good spells of sunshine and we just picked what seemed a long one and went for it. We set off at a very slow pace, and yes it was a bit cold but the scenery was lovely We had this fellow land on the bow and he was happy for the ride. After a couple of hours we got to Husbands Bosworth tunnel and it wasn't long before we were at the Welford Arm. It was nice to have plenty of water up this section as it is normally quite shallow. We got to the lock and it started to rain...typical. When we got to the end of the arm we turned and then topped up again with water, as we had done some washing on the way. We then moored up along side the track as they were the only spaces and with the puddles it looks like Derwent6 will get plastered in mud. The sun was out all afternoon and we watched the sun go down. It is still very cold, but believe us we are in the warmest place....
