Back to Welford

After a very wet night we were all up early and ready for a full English breakfast which Al had done for us all. We then set off as the rain had stopped but everyone else had the same idea and we ended up following three boats into the Welford Arm. After getting through the queue at the lock it started to rain again. We put Derwent6 back on the water point and topped up again and used the opportunity to unload Bernie and Sarah's gear into their car. We then said our goodbyes after a cup of tea. Thanks guys for a fantastic few days..

As we were filling a boat moved out in front of us so we slotted into their spot. At 6.30pm we were picked up by Pat and Keith (Del's Mum off n.b Thema) and went to Keith's band rehearsal in a working man's club, where he plays the trombone.

With good music and cheap beer, we couldn't go wrong. We got back to Derwent6 at 11.30pm.
