Slow ,Slushy, Thaw

We had rain overnight and the snow on the towpath had gone down to about two centimetres. Del was feeling a lot better today after a good nights rest, so it was obviously a 24hr sickness bug. The plan for us was to try and get water but the towpath was so slushy, and Del not feeling the full ticket, we thought it would be too much hard work to get it, so maybe tomorrow... We slowly watched the snow melting during the day and it even got slushy enough on the canal for us to write our names in it. In the afternoon we met up with Paul and Lynne again to return the complement of coffee on Derwent6. We talked about the pros and cons of winter cruising and entertained ourselves with a bit of a sing song... Al had made a lovely sponge cake and it all went down nicely with a cup of tea. In the evening we sat playing games with music all night....
