Don't ask me how, but we managed to get up early and leave at 7.15am. Al helped Del through the swing bridge at Stretton-under-Fosse and then went back to bed for an hour..
It was a lovely quiet cruise with the Rape fields giving off this lovely smell.
We love this little stretch with its twists and turns and plenty to look at bits.
We then got to Ansty.
And we love this guys full size Tonka toys.
It was then onto Hawkesbury Junction where we had timed it right and got a mooring just before the pub.
Where we moored behind an old favourite of ours, the original n.b. No Problem, it was nice to see the boats side by side.
We had only passed three boats all day which give us the gaps we needed to get in.. With the sunshine it was a good time to do some polishing while Al finished her book she had been reading..
After working up an appetite, it was a quick shower (and haircut) before we walked into The Greyhound Inn for a bite to eat. The food is still very good here and the menu is still quite large, we recommend it.
We came out having over eaten, and fell into Derwent6 for a coffee (and a little JD chaser) before we fell into bed.
