We've got Wheels!

Blimey it was a cold night last night thank god for that 13.5 tog and the Squirrel Stove. The other good news is that we have a car at the moment. No! we are not bridge hopping, it's just that Alf, Al's dad, has let us borrow his car for a few days. So lets get out and make the most of it.

We set off to do the food shopping not knowing where we were going. It felt just like you do on holiday, when you go down roads unknown to you and stumble upon a supermarket (or place of interest) you want to try out...weird!!

We were also reminded of what it's like to queue in traffic, and have confrontations with White van man.

Anyway, we found a huge Sainsbury's on the A10 and the first thing we did was have breakfast there. A small tip, never go shopping when you're hungry! It was lovely buying what you like, as we didn't have to worry about carrying it back to Derwent6.

We then went to Homebase and picked up a decent wood saw and then we got some photos printed. We got back to Derwent6 late in the afternoon and had to light the fire straight away as the temperature had dropped very quickly. Del tried out the saw on the wood we had on the roof, while Al put the shopping away. Are we cold on Derwent6? Hopefully this photo is the answer.
