We went round the stalls people watching as a lot of them were dressed up for the occasion. It should be a great festival for the friends of Stoke Bruerne society and we will be making a effort next year to get down here. We bumped into Jim Sparks from Alexander Boat builders (http://www.alexanderboatbuilders.co.uk/ ) who built our hull and we had a long chat and a beer in The Navigation Inn, it was nice to see him.In the afternoon we had a cream tea and sat on the locks with a ice cream, really just watching the world go by.
Late afternoon we walked back to Derwent6 to get ready for tonight as we booked in to the canalside Indian restaurant at the top lock. We can really recommend it, the food was fantastic and very reasonably priced. Afterwards we met up with a crowd who were drinking in The Boat Inn and it finished off the evening nicely

Hi there,
Did you mean Italian restaurant, rather than Indian?
Hi JR
No, definitely a curry. At the Spice of Bruerne. Very yummy and highly recommended :-)
Sorry...the last time I was there it was a very good Italian restaurant (Bruerne's Lock Restaurant)! Still, I think I prefer the sound of the curry - thanks for the recommendation.
Cheers! JR
